mayong buntag!!
haha how is everyone? My week/life has been for the most part better this week. No accidents/breakins or anything like that, so that's always a big plus. Amazing how many things can happen in one week on a mission and yet how so very fast it all happens, you just forget all of it. So I'll try and remember how this week was and all that happened.
On Wednesday we actually took a senior couple to work a couple of appointment's. It was sweet, they may not have understood like anything that went on but they bore a way awesome testimony. It's amazing how strong their testimonies were, and I know it helped our investigators, especially sister Jovel. She seemed to open up so much to them that I think it just made her feel a little bit more special that we brought them too. She's awesome though I've noticed a difference in her every time. We still take it slow but if we teach slow and to her level, she just gets it and is so willing to try and do the things we teach. She's received an answer about Joseph Smith and has read from the Book of Mormon and goes to church every Sunday. She's way cool.
We had an awesome service project on Saturday morning with our ward. They set this whole thing up at a Barangay hall to take people's blood pressure and things and taught about diabetes, and high blood pressure. It was kind of an awareness type thing, but the sweet part is we brought a bunch of pamphlets with us and handed them out after and talked to the people about the Gospel. Everyone was so open to it, amazing what a little bit of service can do to open other's hearts. Just the way those people looked at us as missionaries and members was just different, it was cool. It was just because we were willing to help a little in their community. We got a few return appointments and one we went to yesterday, her name is Basing and she's an older lady who's husband just had an operation but is doing good. She's so smart and really, really wanted a Book of Mormon so we brought her one and taught a little about it and just bore testimony about how powerful it is, how important it is to us and to God for us to use it. Awesome stuff.
Anyways I love you all. I know this church is true. I'm sorry I can't give you more spiritual food and such but I'm running a little low at times myself. I love being able to go and work though, it's the best time of the day. That's where we're headed right now so I'll talk to all of you next week!
Trust in our Heavenly Father, his ways, his timetable, and you'll never go wrong.
love
Elder Stover
